Elder Judith Favors

Judith C. Favors first gives thanks to God, because of Him we live, move, and have our being. She is a woman of God who’s greatest desire is to see souls saved and won, for the building of God’s Kingdom. Every child of God deserves the best and needs to know that they are King’s Kid.

Judith is enthusiastic about the ability to rise above circumstances and make a difference. She is an Ordained Elder and Assistant Pastor at the Greater Rose of Sharon Church of God Founded by Jesus Christ, Inc., Brooklyn, NY under the leadership of Pastor L. Christine Caldwell. Judith is President of the New Members Board and Chaired the Pastor’s Aide Anniversary 2019-2022.
Judith wear many hats, Secretary of Ministers on Wheels Ministry, she is an advocate for the youth and families to facilitate change and enlightenment for the public policy. She is the Manager of M.O.M.S.A.D (Mothers of Murdered Sons and Daughter (1996-present, Manager of Parents of Murdered Children Grief Support Group (2020-present). Judith is a Life Member of the N.A.A.C.P. (National Association for the Advancement of Colored People) and served as co-chair for the Newark Branch N.A.A.C.P 103rd Freedom Fund Gala and Awards Brunch, Executive Board Member and Chairperson of the Religious Affairs Committee. Judith retired on January 31, 2022 from the Essex Division of Family Assistance and Benefits as a Family Service Worker 25 years of service. Judith has over 35 years of experience in community organizing activism and social work. Judith is the Founder and Visionary of Precious Jewels and Treasurers, LLC (Motivational Speaker, Event Planner, Graphic Artist)
One of her favorite quotes is from Dr. Cornell West, “In order to lead the people you must first love them, In order to save the people you must first serve them."

Judith also believes that through God all things are possible and one of her favorite scripture reading is: Habakkuk 2:2 And the LORD answered me and said, Write the vision and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.
Judith dreams and vision is to save the youth in the community and show them lots of love. Together as a group we can make a difference in educating, sharing, loving and helping our children become great leaders.
Judith is a mother of one daughter, and a grandmother of four grandsons.

But most of all, she is a child of God that started at the bottom and is now on her way up knowing that one day she will see her savior face to face.
